Dark Matter was prematurely canceled after its third season, ending the series on a cliffhanger and leaving unresolved plotlines. In an effort to wrap up those plotlines, the series creator Joseph Mallozzi took to Twitter to outline the plan for wrapping up those plotlines in the fourth season that never came to be. Mallozzi only posted the outlines for the first three episodes, which unfortunately does result in new plotlines that are unfinished. I have compiled those tweets into a Markdown document to post here on Lemmy. Due to the limits on size of posts on Lemmy, I will be posting each episode individually.

Act 1
2018-06-21
Previously on Dark Matter: Wexler forces the alien out of TWO, but not before she glimpses a clue to the whereabouts of her daughter. THREE turns the tables on a Alt. Portia. Ryo informs Android he wants to remain onboard…
FIVE mourns the loss of SIX - who, it turns out, is alive and well but trapped on the other side of the spacetime rift with Tash. A plan is hatched to use Traugott’s white hole bomb to destroy the rift - but we discover that it is now in the hands of the Galactic Authority.
Establish: A Galactic Authority Outpost
Anders access a secures section of the facility. "I’m in,"he informs someone on his comm link. It’s Mission Impossible time as he makes his way down a corridor then into a control room where he relieves the guard on duty.
Anders opens up a panel on a computer and proceeds to upload the data. Unbeknownst to him, the guard he relieved holds up, realizes he forgot his I.D., turns and heads back the way he came. INTERCUT Anders waiting for the data to finish uploading/The guard on his way back.
Anders finishes - just in time to hand the returning guard his forgotten I.D. Cool as a cucumber. Once the guard leaves, Anders speaks into his comm. “Did you get it?”
REVEAL FIVE on the bridge of The Raza, having received the upload. Mission accomplished.
CUE OPENING -
Wexler pays TWO a visit to see how she’s doing - and to find out how much she remembers. "You torturing me?"she offers. He points out it was necessary and that, when you really think about it, he’s the reason she’s back to her old self. Still, TWO hasn’t exactly warmed to him.
They are interrupted by the Android who informs them that THREE’s and the Alt Marauder have docked.
THREE steps through the airlock and reunites with the team - after punching out Wexler for abandoning him on the Ferrous Corp shipyard. THREE points out that they now have two Marauders, and one of them is FTL capable. The others exchange solemn looks. THREE wonders what’s up?
On the Ferrous Corp shipyard on the other side of the rift, SIX and Tash, are faced with the prospect of being light years away from gateway with a shuttle incapable of FTL travel. SIX has an idea however. Maybe they can access one of the docked half-built Ferrous ships…
…and retrofit one of their FTL engines to the Marauder. It’s an iffy prospect that could result in everything from a successful jump to a massive explosion, but they don’t have much in the way of options.
The Android and FIVE have gotten THREE up to speed. He reacts to the news of SIX’s sacrifice. THREE asks FIVE if she is okay with using the white hole bomb to collapse the rift, cutting off any hope of retrieving him. FIVE isn’t happy about it, but what choice do they have?
On the bridge, Android is monitoring the captured alien. Ryo comes in and asks her if she’s learned anything. She informs him she’s exposed it to extreme heat, cold, electricity, and radiation - to no effect. It’s an extremely resilient entity!
TWO comes in and demands to know what Ryo is doing on the bridge. The Android explains that he, and Wexler, have been implanted with transponders that allow her to monitor their shipboard whereabouts at all time. But it’s not enough for TWO.
Wexler may have bought himself a little goodwill, but their relationship with Ryo ended after that last battle. She aims to follow through on the promise she made him in the season finale and release him. He tells her he doesn’t want to leave, that he has nowhere to go.
TWO orders him sealed in his quarters until she decides what to do with him. As Ryo willingly heads off, the Android reveals to TWO that she might have another option for dealing with him…
On the shipyard, SIX and Tash discover most of the Ferrous Corp ships have been lost. The only viable candidate is docked at a heavily damaged section of the facility. One of them is going to have to go for a space walk…
Act 2
2018-06-23
VFX - SPACE
The Raza drops out of FTL at a space station.
At the airlock, Lieutenant Anders is welcomed aboard.
In the mess, they discuss the op to steal the white hole bomb. It’s being held in a heavily-secured facility. But there’s a way in. Guards travel to and from the station via a dedicated transfer transit station. The crew of The Raza will get into that station with Anders’ help.
Then he, THREE, and Wexler will transfer to the facility while TWO stays behind to guard their defenseless bodies. Once they secure the bomb, they’ll steal a GA shuttle and fly it out of the facility and back to The Raza that will drop out of FTL and pick them all up. Simple!
On the Ferrous shipyard, meanwhile, on the other side of the rift, SIX dons a spacesuit. Tash informs him that she will remain at the control hub to bypass any security protocols and guide him. Simple!
As she prepares to leave, TWO tells the Android about Kyrden and her baby. She believes her vision was based on a memory and asks the Android to try to locate the planet they were on - a planet with three moons and a distinct atmospheric phenomena.
Tash guides SIX around various dangerous and unstable pockets of the facility, overriding locked doors so that he finally gain access to one of the partially constructed ships. He gets to work, detaching the FTL engine.
A G.A. shuttle streaks through space and approaches an outpost.
Inside the shuttle, Anders is at the controls. He uses the security codes he stole from the G.A. database (see Tease), causing the station’s automated defense systems to stand down and allow them access.
They take out a couple of guards, then Anders uses a retinal scanner to access the transit room. He, THREE, and Wexler change into the waiting G.A. uniforms and get into the pods. They hum to life as an armed TWO looks on…
On the Ferrous shipyard, SIX succeeds in detaching the FTL engine and starts back. Tash tells him to pick up the pace. SIX: “You ever try running in mag boots?!” Suddenly, Tash tracks a piece of debris headed for his section. There’s nothing SIX can do but brace for impact!
Anders, THREE, and Wexler exit the pods on the other side and head into the facility. As they do, Anders is recognized. He bluffs his way through and our trio continue on their way, relieved but… The guard’s eyes narrow as he watches Anders go. Something isn’t right here…
On The Raza, the Android offers Ryo an option. She explains that every time someone uses transfer transit, the system downloads a neural template of the traveler. That template is transferred, via subspace, to a clone, imbuing it with the original’s personality and memories.
The neural imprint is, in effect, stored back-up that will allow them to re-set him back to who he was the last time he used the pods (back in Episode 207) before he embarked on his campaign to retake the throne. They could have the old FOUR back - if it works.
A rattled SIX heads back with the FTL engine. Suddenly, he holds up, asks Tash for a way around. But there is no way around. Reveal SIX standing at the edge of a precipice, almost 30 feet of open space between him and the other end of the corridor. So much for simple.
At the G.A. facility, THREE, Anders and Wexler arrive in the holding area where the bomb is being stored - only to discover it’s not there. Well…so much for simple!
TWO is surprised by a G.A. special ops team and exchanges fire with them. A stun grenade is tossed into the room and goes off. TWO goes down, unconscious, and the G.A. team takes the room - and everyone inside.
Act 3
2018-06-23
An unconscious TWO is cuffed as Anders, THREE, and Wexler are pulled out of their transfer pods and arrested. Their clones are still active - but not for long….
Inside the facility, Anders gets on a computer and deduces the bomb has been moved to the R&D lab, two floors down. He, THREE, and Wexler are on the move.
Back at the Ferrous shipyard, Tash informs SIX of his options. Option #1: He jumps and hope this trajectory carries him to the other side. If he miscalculates, he’ll drift wide and float off helplessly…until his oxygen runs out. Option #2: See Option #1.
At the G.A. facility, an alarm sounds as Anders, THREE, and Wexler get to the lab and discover a scientist studying…the disassembled bomb. Shit! They order him to put it back together. Now! Suddenly an alarm sounds. They seal themselves inside.
Back on The Raza, FIVE finds the Android on the bridge. She asks if they’d received an word from the op. Not yet, but there has been a development the alien front. It is losing cohesion, drifting apart. FIVE orders it spaced before it dissipates.
Tash, in a space suit, takes up position on the other end of the chasm. SIX sends over the FTL engine. We track its progress, floating across space…a little wide, forcing Tash, in her mag boots, to reach out and snag it. “Okay,” she says. “Two feet to your left. Your turn!”
In a holding room in the G.A. outpost, a G.A. Officer, VanderMeer, visits Anders and accuses him of betrayal. Anders suggests Vandermeer listen to what the crew of The Raza have to say before passing judgement.
SIX steels himself, then makes the jump. We track his progress across the divide and SIX and Tash realize his trajectory is off. He’s going to drift wide. And there’s nothing Tash can do this time. She disappears back inside with the engine, presumably leaving SIX to his fate.
Inside the G.A. facility, the scientist finishes assembling the bomb. Guards pound at the sealed door. What now?! Wexler presses a button and the device comes to life. “What’d you do to the bomb?” asks THREE. “I armed it,” Wexler informs him. Off a stunned THREE we end act.
Act 4
2018-06-24
SIX drifts wide of the mark. He begins to run Tash through the piloting sequence that will get her through the rift when suddenly, his progress is halted. REVEAL Tash, secured to a lifeline, has snagged his ankle, literally “catching her lift”.
Commander Vandermeer pays a visit to the imprisoned TWO, THREE, and Wexler. TWO makes a pitch for the white hole bomb so that they can target the rift and, hopefully, deal the looming alien invasion a critical blow. Vandermeer is unconvinced…
Inside the G.A. facility, Wexler tells the security guards outside the door that he’ll detonate the bomb if they don’t back off. The scientist confirms that it, has intact, been armed. Wexler reminds them they are clones and have nothing to lose.
Back at the outpost, Vandermeer learns the clones are threatening to blow up the facility. In addition to the loss of life and whatever research they have down there, the G.A. will have to explain what they were doing in possession of a white hole bomb. Vandermeer stews.
On the Ferrous shipyard, SIX and Tash take off their space suits. SIX thanks her for saving him. Tash suggests he show his appreciation by getting them the hell back home. Both grab the FTL engine and make for the Marauder.
Back at the G.A. facility, the clones strike a deal. The G.A. agrees to back off. They unseal the lab doors. The corridors are clear; the security guards are nowhere in sight. The clones head to the shuttle bay with the white hole bomb.
As Vandermeer prepares to release TWO, THREE and Wexler, he takes Anders aside and orders him on the op to take out the rift. HE will be the G.A.'s eyes and ears onboard The Raza.
The G.A. shuttle docks with The Raza. Onboard, all convene. The Android suggests she could try to establish a neural link to the G.A.'s shuttle and deliver the bomb that way - but it may take some time. Clone THREE, instead, volunteers himself and clone Wexler for the job.
The Raza drops out of FTL near the rift. The G.A. shuttle launches with clone Wexler piloting, clone THREE on weapons. On The Raza, Android, TWO, FIVE, and Anders look on as the alien ships come alive. Some engage the shuttle while others open fire on them.
As the G.A. shuttle bobs and weaves its way past the aliens’ weaponfire, The Raza is rattled by a barrage. On the bridge, the Android is focused on something else entirely. FIVE asks her what she is doing. Android informs her she’s sending a message through the rift…
SIX and Tash are working on the engine when SIX notices a familiar signal flash up on the comm screen: a modulated tachyon pulse. He realizes: “We have to go. Now!” A final adjustment, then they scramble into their seats. He punches it. The Marauder streaks out of the shipyard.
On the other side of the rift, the G.A. shuttle takes a hit. Its shields fail. Onboard The Raza, Ryo, alone in his quarters, feels the ship shudder. On the bridge, the rest of the crew look on anxiously. Is this going to work?

The G.A. shuttle is struck and begins to lose structural integrity. It drifts towards the event horizon and - detonates in a blinding flash, taking down out the rift and a handful of alien ships.
The Marauder docks. The Raza is rocked by sustained weapons fire from the approaching alien ships. Once the Android has confirmed the Marauder is safely aboard, The Raza jumps to FTL and make good its escape.
An elated FIVE is reunited with SIX outside the airlock, throwing her arms around the big man and almost knocking him off his feet. Wexler and Tash’s reunion is decidedly more restrained. A nod and “Hey” countered by a “Hey” and nod back.
The Raza docks at a space station.
Anders leaves them, vowing to stay in touch and update them on the movements of the remaining alien ships.
Tash bids SIX a fond farewell. With Alt. Portia and Boone M.I.A., she’s now in command of the Alt. Android and their ship.
Wexler pitches TWO for why he should stick around. Portia, Boone, and Ferrous Corp will be gunning for him and Truffault’s not returning his calls. It’s chaos out there and he’s proven he can help. TWO allows him to stay. But she’s keeping him on a short leash. As for Ryo…
TWO and the Android pay Ryo a visit. Has he decided? He says he has.
He steps out of his quarters to find the rest of the crew waiting for him - THREE, FIVE, SIX and, now, Wexler. Their expressions convey an array of emotions: uncertainty, pity, hope.
The crew escorts Ryo to the transit pods. The Android reminds Ryo that the procedure is not without risk, but he is past caring. Ryo addresses his former crew mates with a final message: “I’m sorry.” Then, he gets into the pod. The procedure begins…
