One of my favorite parts of the game! I’ve seen courses turn really dilapidated parks into nice places with a lot of foot traffic. Granted, everyone still needs to be accommodating, but, generally, it’s a win win for everyone in the area!
I don’t live in a big city. But, disc golf generally isn’t expensive to get into. Really fun. If you can get around a bit to courses.

I wasn’t attempting to disparage them. Because I get it. I don’t gamble, but I have my own destructive ways to get through the days. Just unfortunate that it’s the case.
I’m in my upper 20’s, I have a lot of friends I would honestly describe as having a gambling “issue”, it’s a spectrum, some are worse than others. However, I do find it interesting that my peers are so disenfranchised, they’d rather spend time and whatever limited money they have, trying to hit a lottery, rather than work and attempt to move through the social ladder or whatever.
Now, I say all of that, to say, how are we, as a society, okay with this? How is it that I would put my life trajectory in the hands of a digital slot machine? Well, the simple answer is capitalism.
The Roman’s thought it had to be “bread and circus” imagine how stupid they must feel, all you need is a circus to keep your population from coming together.

Police maybe. But, from my anecdotal experience in the military, as an infantryman, so not even officer/better educated MOS, the military is surprisingly nuanced. It’s too big of an organization with too many backgrounds to make a statement like that, if you ask me. Granted, I was in during his first presidency, and a lot could have changed, but, you might be surprised the resistance the military would give.
This sounds similar to my childhood. Glad to know there are others. Growing up like that, I didn’t understand the stigma around homeschooling, however, seeing how some of my homeschool “peers” around me turned out, we’re a fraction of a fraction my friend. Thanks for sharing.
Alright, so, no one here seems to be prior military. Yes, actually, that’s exactly why militaries use them. So, for the practical, it’s really fucking hard to communicate during a firefight and I promise you any sort of assistance is nice. Being able to communicate is a major factor to being an effective force.
Second, it costs the government a lot of money in disability. A lot. Pretty sure tinnitus is the most common issue paid out.

I mean, you’re not going to have shrapnel entering it, shrapnel doesn’t generally have arcing fire lol or the likely hood is so low, why bother. However, like I said, idk what they were doing. Just for context, there was an airstrike ordered nearby so SOP mandates infantry remounts into armored vehicles for protection against shrapnel.
With that being said, yeah, obviously people fucked up operationally, and they should have had some kind of situational awareness, but, they weren’t just like chilling. They were sheltering in place for a couple minutes.
