Yup broken system. The only worthwhile magic is enchantment for the sake of beefing up your armor/jewelry

Thanks for that creepy reminder. Though, it does speak well for Gary Oldman’s performance. He’s The Chameleon for a reason.

That whole 6 episode season opening set is incredible.

He’s the most important person in Starfleet history.

There had better be a planned transporter room with O’Brien and Broccoli (+ transporter worm/crewman)!

Where’s Bev’s lantern? And no O’Brien?!

That’s later toward season 7.

So… you ate all the chocolate? I’d ask if your father hadn’t taught you how to share, but then we already know the answer to that question.

Stick with it, through extra thicc and thin.

Thankfully, they pivoted far away from that starting point. Season 1 Rom starts out as the prototypical Ferengi. Where he ends up is a showcase for the best character growth we’re likely to see in our lifetimes.

What grabs me most, is seeing Max Grodénchik in his first Ferengi role prior to Rom.

I wouldn’t go that far. At least the Talaxians know how to party.

Before, during, after. If it enraptures your company, then “when in Rome.”

He was trying to encourage Picard to make the most of shore leave… If a bit too bold in the presence of his Imzadi.

Fair, but let’s not go dragging Star Wars’ writing weaknesses into Trek just because of JJ’s connection. By all means, that was the opportunity to write off Carrie Fisher’s unfortunate and untimely passing.
That said, you have a solid point concerning the use of the transporter as a narrative device.

Eh, couldn’t come up with anything relevant and that came to mind.
