    it’s like a traditional ecological sign. like wooly caterpillar coloring meaning a harsh winter, or a mast event being an omen of deluge.

    the ted cruz flying to SoCal is a sign that texas is facing another deadly climate disaster.

        I don’t know why that makes me a bit sad. They just nest elsewhere.

        In recent years, the swallows have failed to return in large flocks to the Mission. Few birds were counted in the 1990s and 2000s. The reduction has been connected to increased development of the area, including many more choices of nesting place and fewer insects to eat.
