Shows they’re still committed to trying to uphold the UN or at least understand this type of venue is likely to be much worse for them.

Question is who can the US rope into it and who stays out?

Canada has been dis-invited, Russia seems to be holding back, probably not wanting to upset Trump to try and get a negotiated settlement in Ukraine (spoiler: they’re going to have to make a decision or be seen as openly evading it by Trump long before the US is willing to wind down Ukraine). Question is where the rest fall. Do the EU fall over themselves as proud zionists to join this even though it likely deepens their vassalship? What about other players like Vietnam, Asian vassals like Japan and occupied Korea. Be interesting to see if the world outside of the usual worst suspects kind of just snubs it and pretends they don’t want to touch or have ownership of the deepening phases of genocide they’re still denying are happening. India’s a big question.

France at least refused to join earlier this week, but given that it’s Macron he might change his mind by tomorrow macronclown-to-clown-conversation

Quite a few other EU countries have declined the invitation, but they’re mostly saying they won’t sign it “as it is,” and not that they are outright opposed to it. Mostly they seem like they would be cool with it if it was just about colonizing Gaza, but they don’t like the implications that it would be larger than that and erode the UN. Except the UK, which seems upset that Russia was invited.

Pakistan, China’s biggest ally, has also joined. Pakistan has been sucking up to Trump for a while now. I think they were the first to nominate him for the Nobel “Peace” Prize.
