Not a bug but a feature request. Can you add the content filters like the reddit boost had? So you can filter between images, videos, gifs, and script posts.

This is something I’m really missing too. It would be so lovely to be able to filter everything away, except text and link posts, for when I’m in bed at night. It was one of my most used features with Boost for Reddit, so hopefully it can be implemented in Boost for Lemmy some day too :D

Anyway, thanks for everything you do, rmayayo! Can’t imagine using any other app for Lemmy.

B-but I thought Boost was abandoned because you didn’t update it for awhile…

On a serious note thanks for your work rmayayo I’m only on lemmy cause of you. I’m not sure how you resist making fun of those “Boost is abandoned” people, really grinds my gears as somebody who’s released stuff of my own and had people making similar claims for absolutely no reason (literally have a public git they can look at) but oh well. I’ve been extremely pleased with Boost both back on reddit and now here on lemmy your work is appreciated man

Same. When Reddit cracked down on third-party clients, I quickly realized that I liked Boost more than Reddit, and I’m super happy about how it’s coming along.

I don’t notice any of that personally (probably missed it). Did the dev reply to any of those claims? Over six months of no updates is kinda worrisome

    Thanks for the update!

I found a post though that still has very bad performance https://sh.itjust.works/post/35534975 - it’s safe for work, it’s about a game/mod. Scrolling through the post is very choppy, the app (or my phone) is really struggling. I’m using an Xperia 1 VI.

I see what’s going on. Boost only resizes images hosted on Lemmy and that post uses external images 😩

I’ve run into what might be a bug. There’s a post with an Imgur link and text that puts a thumbnail of the linked gif on the post page. The thumbnail displays correctly, but clicking the thumbnail takes me to a dead Imgur link in the media viewer. Clicking the Imgur link in the body text takes me to a live Imgur link with the original gif on a full Imgur post page within the custom tabs browser.

Nope, I’m using a different markdown library. Also they wouldn’t render on Lemmy website for the rest of users
