      Sure, if you want to heighten economic disparity. Other modes of transport need to be made more available and affordable first. It’s not practical or even possible for me to take public transit 99% of the time so making gas that insanely expensive would do nothing but drain my bank account, as with the majority of Americans.

        I think it would create pressure for UBI, public transit, and affordable housing. But you know business as usual is working just fine.

          So your plans for those happening is just wishing and good vibes? Fuck outta here. No one’s talking about implementing any of that, and you’re pinning the suffering of the lower class on the HOPES that MAYBE better policies would be made… Eventually… At some point…

        Low cost gas is like a societally addictive substance. There is always pain in weaning. Humans existed before gas cars and we can persist without them.
