    At this point, leftists in non-American countries can simply appropriate nationalistic aesthetics and just accuse their countries right wing of being “American puppets” and it wouldn’t even be a lie.

    Look at Farage in the UK, if I was a Brit and called him an American puppet most Brits would either agree or also agree but say that it’s a good thing, actually.

      The problem isn’t just public appeal, it’s the dependency relationships fascist politicians are there to reinforce. You cannot make change by merely pointing out hypocrisy. Exposing the structure of neocolonialism empowers the people to strike at it.
