Perhaps the biggest impact of Luigi and Mamdani is in showing how radicalized the US proletariat is becoming, compared to even 10 years ago. We have a long way to go, and revolution is always going to be necessary no matter how much adventurism and electoralism happens before then, but I am seeing a more united working class than ever currently.

… but I am seeing a more united working class than ever currently.

i wish i could see it this way too.

my family informs my opinions on the working class since we have a very fine spectrum of ages, localities, and politics; but are predominantly working poor in the united states with the few richest among us being categorized as such because they own their homes.

my experience with the american contingent of family suggests that the liberals, conservatives and libertarians are unifying together well and refuse to do the same with any of the socialists, communists, or anarchists.

it’s also peculiar that the mexican contingent of my family has no such qualms with the leftists; not even the libertarians nor the anarchists.

I try to zoom out. Looking at trends and social movements, the clock of history is slowly but surely moving forward.
