Opinion
This is a bit more like what I was expecting from post-Sharknado schlock. But even schlockier. A bunch of friends and family decide “Hey, we can make our own shark movie!” using their lakehouse and motorboat.
But instead of terrible CGI sharks, we get terrible rubber & papier mâché sharks. Sweet!
Unfortunately we get too much of the non-existent acting and not enough of the laughably bad effects. And it’s nothing like the poster, of course.
Score: 1 out of 5 sharks.

It definitely has high school or college film “quality” to it. But if you’re looking for a film to heckle with friends, it will be sufficiently entertaining.
Thank you for making me look that up. That was the greatest trailer I’ve ever seen. They should have won an Oscar for the trailer alone.

I started watching this over the weekend but I couldn’t get past the first 5 minutes. The acting was just SO bad. And I watch a lot of b-movies…
I don’t think the acting was bad. I think it just wasn’t . As in, it didn’t exist. There was no acting, just people saying the lines they were supposed to.
I’d already given up on Narco Shark so I felt I needed to stick through one of these shark movies. (The sunk cost fallacy?)
I managed to stick all the way through Super Shark (2011), I’ll write that up tomorrow morn.
