Why where they allowing kids to play in the back lane. It’s a fucking road.
And again the Edmonton one sitting on skateboard rolling down driveway so I’m going to assume since she was hit it was rolling into the street.
Yeah, let’s blame pedestrians.
Dontcha know, as soon as you step out of your (sometimes non-existent) sidewalk or pedestrian zone, you deserve to be hit!
Maybe the drivers of the 5 ton monster trucks should pay attention while driving. Reading both of these stories it doesn’t sound like the kids just flew out of nowhere
I think it’s a two fold problem, like yes I get what you are saying and it makes me angry too, if children aren’t properly monitored. That said, as a parent to two youngins, shit can happen so fast, with just even the slightest of deviations of your full attention. I like to think I do my best to stop that from happening, but nobody is perfect. Hence I try not to judge without full context, because I don’t know what happened, right?
On the other side, we all need to do much more to protect the safety of Alberta’s children. I saw in the news yesterday that there are two daycare workers charged with aggravated assault on toddlers at a daycare somewhere in the Edmonton area (think it was Spruce Grove). If it’s not that, it’s the daycares trying to poison them with shit and disease tainted food. It’s too dangerous for our children outside (even inside?) the household, in so many ways, including these two incidents. As a province we should take our ass out of the right wing leaning separatist, treasonist, and whatever corruption-based activities our leaders find themselves engaged in on a daily basis, and demand they do better by leading the way to keeping our residents safe, especially our children. Instead of exposing them to pirates diseases because we keep electing leaders that are quacks and paranoid conspiracists.
