The 33-year-old said she gained 8st (51.8kg) following the births of her two daughters - now aged four and five - and struggled to lose the pounds.

So she gained over 100 lbs… I’m not sure how relevant her giving birth is, considering she had her kids half a decade ago. Not shaming anyone or saying it’s easy, but weight gain/loss isn’t something you “do”, it’s the result. And it’s a moving target. I was rail-skinny as a kid and could eat everything in sight without gaining weight. Not so now, for better and worse…

So what does her doctor say? Does she have a disorder or a hormone imbalance? Is she physically active? Is she eating enough calories to maintain her current weight, or is she limiting them? That’s really the thing that will lose weight, but again as part of a lifestyle, not as an end goal. I feel like depending on an expensive prescription from a giant pharmaceutical corporation will not result in long-term success…

The rapid onset blindness is totally worth it.

Can’t see myself in the mirror, but I feel like I can fit into a size zero. /s
