    Not really equivalent situations. Obama wearing a tan suit wasn’t in a context that demanded a specific wardrobe.

      This. Obama can wear what color he wants at the White House and there should not be an issue, but he would be expected to follow dress code at a FUNERAL because it’s common decency.
