      China: spent the last 3 decades lifting a billion people out of poverty, building modern infrastructure, and reinvesting profits into a global trade network

      USA: spent 3 decades bombing & pillaging one middle eastern state after another in a racial-religious psychosis

      Hmm option 2 is starting to seem like not that great
