    Putin (unironically) did it better

    spoiler

Putin: Why didn’t you [billionaires] fix this before now? You ran around like cockroaches when I said I was coming.

Putin: You have taken these [factory workers] hostage with your ambition, incompetence, and pure greed. These are thousands of lives. It’s absolutely unacceptable. If you owners can’t come to an agreement then this factory will be restarted. One way or another, we’ll do it without you. […]

    Putin: Deripaska, have you signed?

    Deripaska: I’ve signed.

Putin: I can’t see your signature. Here’s the agreement. Sign it.

    Deripaska: *Signs and walks away*

Putin: Give me back my pen.

“Not surprised at the rest of the asslickers but didn’t think Gates would be among those to lick up Trump’s piss.”

“Hugely disappointed… thought he was better than that shit”

He has /very/ good PR. It’s gross, he’s a sexpest that fucked computer education in order to perpetually extract rent from basically every government, company, and educational institution. Tried to destroy the commons that gave rise to the technology he got rich with, and probablyremovedd kids with epstein.

But his shitty charity does work that is only mostly useless so whatever I guess.

Microsoft directly profited from the conflicts and genocides across Africa in the '90s. This includes the Rwandan Genocide, Sierra Leone Civil War, 1st. and 2nd. Congolese wars, and the Somalian Civil War. All of these were scrambles for materials used in computers (such as gold, cobalt, and tin).

The leadership at Microsoft, including Bill Gates, knew their products were using unethically sourced materials used to fund warlords and terrorist groups, but looked the other way because it was cheaper. These materials were often mined by child and slave labor.

Quick overview of the problem as it has continued, despite Microsoft releasing annual conflict mineral reports each year since 2019:

Not a bad time to plug Linux, it’s as easy if not easier to use than Windows or MacOS, it doesn’t come with US 3-letter agency backdoors, and it’s not covered in the blood of genocides.

The vast majority of major newspapers are also dependent on his fund to keep operating their essential for image, but unprofitable investigative units too so they’ll never write anything negative about him. Bezos bought a couple of papers wholesale, but Gates realised two decades ago that you could just buy up a load-bearing pillar in hundreds of papers around the world instead.

Skipped or wasn’t invited. Seems slopware coded?

I’m so glad it’s on video. Gonna forever throw this shit in the face of anyone who is under the mistaken impression that being in charge means you have decent ideas or moral character.

      They’re not even eloquent.

      From Wired:

You may have noted the absence of Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, and Nvidia’s Jensen Huang. It’s unclear whether they weren’t invited or had a scheduling conflict, but between DOGE, The Washington Post’s hard-right turn, and Nvidia’s dealmaking, it’s safe to say they’re already in Trump’s good graces.

isn’t elon majorly on the outs with trump now since he annoyed the fuck out of everyone until they fired him and then he said trump was in the epstein files, then they released that Musk was too as payback? Like, no they aren’t in his good graces?

They publicly made up at the memorial for that guy with the hole in his neck. And the Dems were the ones to release the latest Epstein docs. But yeah, they’re not gonna be besties again.

I wish it was a conspiracy theory that Musk arranged for the assassination so he would have this rhetorical framework for making up with Trump while avoiding public backlash.
