I have a client running 24/7. Not long ago, I switched my VPN provider, and I noticed a lot of people queueing a folder, then cancelling once one item in the folder is fully downloaded. Reported download speed seems alright, but seeing how a lot of downloaders are doing this, I wonder if I should take this as a sign that the node is not running properly. If it’s just me, then I’m open to VPN provider suggestions. I am currently using ProtonVPN.
I’ve done this before. Sometimes, I’ll try to grab something from a few different sources because I dont know what will go fastest. Once a clear “winner” emerges, I cancel the rest. I wouldn’t worry about it. And thanks for being a sharer!
You could always test things from another device in the house. Since traffic is going through the VPN, it should be about as slow as any remote user.
Ah, that makes sense. Thanks for the explanation!
I get this as well, I do not think it is my speeds as mine should be quite fast.
Good to know it’s not just me because I swear to god there’s one dude who is doing that to me on a daily basis
I did this to people last night I bet by fiddling with my batch dl script lmao.
