Hey all, today is the last day for our our survey on what you want the community to be like. I’ve started collating the responses and I’ll have a post covering it tomorrow. Really appreciated everyone’s input so far!

i would love to do the survey, however i stay away from proprietary/privacy invasive services (google).

good luck though, and thanks for your work on this community!

I respect that. I’d like you to have a voice still, so you’re welcome to message me your thoughts. It’s totally confidential, but just an option if you’d like to.

I took it a few days ago and would like to expound on my responses. I checked yes for feminist content, but noted that I hope the community doesn’t become too political. That has different meanings to different people so I want to clarify.

There’s a lot of negative stuff happening that is relevant to women. But if this community becomes just another space with post after post of whatever fuckery Trump or his ilk are up to, it will be too depressing to follow. Not that we can never discuss anything negative, but I, for one, would prefer for it to be a small percentage of the content here. If there’s a win for something like equal pay or transgender rights, that’s the political content I want to see.

Thanks for expounding! I totally agree, endless posts about Trump and general political fuckwittery is soul destroying. There’s plenty of other places to discuss it on lemmy and multiple people said they want a safe space away from that so we’re going no politics. There’s the feminist community to discuss it in instead, keeping here safe for people.
