While illegally bombing Cambodia, killing up to 150.000, mostly civilians, driving the survivors into the arms of the Khmer rouge, destabilizing the country and indirectly causing the Cambodian civil war which ended in the Cambodian genocide, killing eventually around 2 million.? That Kissinger? The same one who, in the same year played an elemental role in supporting the Chilean military coup, leading to a 27 year military dictatorship under Pinochet?
Granted at the time of awarding the peace prize the Cambodian civil war hasn’t happened yet, but all the other shit happened before.
