I should start using a client that has tagging features, as this sort of stuff made certain recurring folks on reddit make a lot more sense back when it was smaller.
People, especially those suffering depression or other issues that lead to isolationism, understimate just how quick a lack of face to face human interaction will fuck you up.
Plenty of studies have shown that solitary confinement has huge long term negative effects on mental health in a matter of days, and while there’s other things at play with solitary confinement (lack of stimulation in general, being incarcerated, lack of ability to change your situation), I know from personal experience that limiting myself to digital interactions and interactions with just my immediate family fucked me up big time (thankfully well over a decade ago now).
The more I grow older, the more its been hammered home to me through experience how fucking important getting outside (touch grass) and making small talk with people is to my mental health.
Man, and here I thought I was a shut-in for not going outside every day.
