A coworker showed me a trailer some years back. It was first person view, maybe horror, sci-fi setting like a ship/space station with flesh the colour and texture of an eye socket growing over everything. There were other elements modeled after body parts, like bones, teeth, intestines, etc.
Coming from the other thread, what if it’s the same game, Eclipsium?
Not it, but I’ll have to check it out. Looks cool.
System Shock 2?
The ending part of the game featured a space ship overtaken by flesh.
Much newer than SS2. HD graphics.
Mouthwashing? Callisto protocol?
Hmm, Callisto Protocol is the closest so far. It has the right level of detail, and some fleshy elements but I don’t remember the level design being so industrial in its aesthetic.
Scorn perhaps?
Scorn has a lot of elements resembling organic material, it’s absolutely disgusting. I would guess this one too
I’ve played a bit of Scorn. Scorn is more grey organic shapes with a few fleshy bits. Whatever it was, it had lots of fleshy tones to the flesh. Oh, and a flashlight.
Dead space?
Still Wakes the Deep?
No, though that one looks cool.
The voice acting and story, alone, makes that game amazing. Add on beautiful graphics and incredible scale, and it’s a chef’s kiss. My only complaint is that it feels short. First playthrough took time, cause I wanted to get into the story and see everything. Second run, for achievements, skipped a lot of the skipable dialogue.
Can you please use the syntax for the title, and template as noted in the sidebar?
Gotcha.
Signalis? Especially some of the later areas
Signalis looks nifty but the one I’m looking for is first person and not anime styled.
Run Like Hell?
Scorn?
Dead Space?
How long ago is “a few years” here?
Maybe 5ish (3~8) years? Single digits for sure.
RLH is way too old looking. I’ve played some Scorn and all of Dead Space. More gradual looking than Scorn, which is only sort of fleshy and very HRGeiger-y from the start, and less industrial than Dead Space. It had what looked like high quality graphics. Pale walls and floors (kind of like Echo) that became more covered in flesh over the course of the trailer. Teeth and bones in places. I think there were tentacles like bony fingers ending in teeth but whether that was an enemy or something the player would pick up is unclear.
