Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, obviously Johnny Depp as the only human. Basically no difference.
Die Hard - Alan Rickman
I like your idea
The Rocketeer (1991).
Timothy Dalton.
300 - the actor who is kicked into the pit
I’d also choose the hunchback.
The Hunger Games, keep Snow. The Exorcist, keep the priest.
The possessed girl being the only non-muppet in The Exorcist has a lot more comedy potential imo. The priest really should be Kermit.
I thought about that, but I feel like she’s too scary? Like, i would be worried for the Muppets. And I like the idea of this one guy playing it completely straight, terrified of this demon and it’s, like, gonzo or something.
Gonzo being Gonzo, or Gonzo acting possessed?
Yes.
This was done with a Muppet Christmas Carol and Michael Caine to excellent results. Really a top notch interpretation and acting. Highly recommend
A few years ago I did a kick of watching all of the Christmas Carols that have been made since film started. It really was my favorite of them all. Would recommend watching the others, though. There were no bad takes in my experience
Star Wars, keep David Prowse (Darth Vader, the actual guy in the suit).
I can think of a few fun combos for Star Wars (Episode 4 specifically):
Alec Guinness (Obi-Wan Kenobi) as mentioned elsewhere in this thread
Carrie Fisher (Princess Leia) - Leia being interrogated by Muppet Tarkin and rescued by Muppet Luke, Han and Chewie
Peter Cushing (Tarkin) would be a case of “less is more” but it could be funny. Not sure how well it would work for the whole movie though.
Terminator. Arnold.
Arnold stays human, but the metal parts of the Terminator stay Muppet
