Everybody should know less about celebrities. Give those poor people some privacy (and stop feeding the attention-seekers).

I literally opened the comments asking “know less about?? What should anyone know less about??”

      You immediately answered my question

    How our bodies work.
Digestive system, immune system and how reproduction works - and to know it for both genders.

    advertising and privacy

Some people think it’s great that the ads that are following them around all of the time from device to device and always knows exactly what they want before they do is a nice thing.

But advertisers sometimes know more about you than you do, and that is disturbing, and they are monetizing them every facet of your life.

Even if you can only block 20 to 50% of the ads, you are doing yourself a great service.

Even more so if you can poison them somehow.

The less accurate information global corporations have about you, the better it will be for you.

I made the mistake of researching an AIDS patient on my personal phone (I wasn’t familiar with IRIS syndrome and some of the meds, I wanted to make sure I knew what meds I was giving and why). Advertisers are CERTAIN that I have AIDS now and that follows me EVERYWHERE months after the fact. Super annoying to have AIDS ads everywhere, I can’t imagine how triggering it must be for someone who is actually dealing with the diagnosis.

I’d prefer everyone know just enough to be conversant in the many varied and changing topics of interest to me. I’d also prefer they not know so much about any given topic that it threatens me.
