I know there’s a nest very close by, in my garden, from the poop i clean up. I’ve never seen a baby out and about until now. Should i just leave it there?

If your city has some form of animal control as a public service, they likely would have the contact info for rescues.

But it should be fine. That website had a tip for moving them safely… use a somewhat thin (but long) stick and tuck it in their feet. Unless you know where mum is, but given the age, I can’t really imagine they’re not injured from a fall.

in any case, bats are way cooler than humans typically give them credit for, so thanks for being a good human :P
