Absolutely, there are elements in the USA that even as a US citizen, I don’t trust further than I could throw them. China is seeking technological independence from the west, I think Europe needs to develop their own infrastructure to promote independence for their collective region. It would give them finer control over protecting their users responsibly (unlike the USA, which cannot be arsed to do this).
