While I agree gerrymandering is wrong and that map is horrible… Why was this an emergency? There are no public votes this weekend or next week.

No need to put an “emergency hold” on the previous ruling. No one would be effected if the Supreme Court was just like “yeah we’ll review it. Get us a summary of the arguments for and against the maps by 5pm Wednesday.”

Oh but wait that wouldn’t make a headline…
