Anyone who does this is angry. If your religion is making you angry, it’s not a good religion. Maybe “live and let live”.

The burning of the Quran with a flame thrower and ranting like deranged lunatic didn’t give her all the attention she wants, so in to the next big thing I guess, not really sure who’s her audience though, cuz normally they are white supremacist type who love this shit, and she’s a a latina through and through, I don’t think she understands how this works, like all the idiots who voted for the orange toddler and then ended up in “detention” camps

Yeah, it’s even worse than that if you look at the video. She openly calls it a “pedophile church.”

This woman is unhinged. Isn’t she the same person who took a photo shooting an effigy of an illegal immigrant in the head, execution style?

Isn’t that a quote of Paul in a letter to the Romans?

    Man, fuck Paul.

From my perspective, he’s the one who helped destroy Christ’s message while claiming to preach it all over.

This IS the guy who was a rich dude named Saul who magically converted after going blind when he supposedly heard the voice of Jesus then spent his whole life shaping the religion of Christ to himself and his own views after the Resurrection when Jesus was conveniently absent and unable to gainsay him.

Over half of the books of the New Testament are by this dude. Over half. Granted some of those are in dispute but wtf.

And most of those books are about Paul going around preaching and what he thought about issues.

'Paul asserted that he received the Gospel not from man, but directly by “the revelation of Jesus Christ” ’

Brother hadn’t even heard the good word, it seems.

Sorry for the mini rant, I just cannot fucking stand Paul the more I have read.

To be fair to Paul, he didn’t consciously write the Bible, he just wrote to other churches and gave personal advice. What you’ve read from him is likely an English translation, which have historically been more than happy to bake sexism and homophobia in where it isn’t necessarily present in his original writing.

What pisses me off with stuff like this video, is pulling verses out like it’s some gotcha implying that this church just didn’t read that bit and has no answer to it. I wonder how she’d respond if to having 1 Corinthians 11:5 shouted at her in her church.

I sympathize with that position but the letters of Paul are still important because they are the oldest Christian writings we have. All gospels were written later based on the various oral traditions that had been passed down.

Paul was neither a disciple nor in charge of the church, but he was the only one whose writings survived to this day.

As such, even though the letters of Paul are arguably the least authoritative books in the New Testament, they are the most authentic.

I would strongly NOT recommend treating Paul’s opinions as guidelines for how to live your life, but they still provide valuable insight into the character of the early church.

84 year old Republican John Carter has represented this district for over 20 years, and I haven’t heard that he’s retiring yet. He only won reelection last year by less than 1%

Fucking grifters. There is one way to deal with someone like this, you have to treat them like a cat and spray water in their face to let them know their behavior isn’t acceptable.

I don’t know why you would think that would help the problem. That kind of sass is just going to galvanize their supporters. What the church members did – calmly ask the disruptor to leave – is probably the best thing they could do in this circumstance.

Perhaps it doesn’t help now that these people have become so emboldened as to become a mainstream party, should have been done some time ago.

Technically depending on where you are staying on property after you have been asked to leave counts as different types of crime. In America it’s a tresspass misdemeanor with fines usually a couple of hundred dollars so it’s not uncommon for folks to just pay the fee to be a nuisance. In Canada it’s called “Assault by Tresspass” and is considered for criminal purposes a form of assault and the fines are about 10 grand.

Generally speaking if you want cops to enforce a law with enthusiasm you have to make it worth the systems while.

Isn’t she the same person who literally did a book burning to use as a campaign commercial? There’s something off about her.
