Really? I thought Moloch is only mentioned in the Bible, not additional historical sources, and in the Bible it means a god that wants child sacrifices, or the act of doing the sacrifice.
I’m not an expert at all, from what I understand, Moloch was the chief deity of one of the enemies of the Hebrews, hence the bad press about child sacrifice, I don’t know much about the topic and could very, very easily be wrong about it.
