It’s not that they don’t understand, it’s that they refuse to try to understand. “I might be wrong” is not something they’re capable of thinking. Because they adopted the idea that all their views are moral and any other view is evil and immoral. It all falls apart with the tiniest bit of scrutiny, so they make sure to not ever question any of their bullshit.
