  • I’m an OG troll. I was doing it before the term existed. No. Good trolling is about arguing a position you don’t give a shit about to make people mad. That was fun for 12 year old me. I enjoyed going on YouTube videos for like, undeniably legendary artists, and trying to convert people to listening to The Jonas Brothers. Nah. These days, you get unadulterated sincerity. You need to do reasoning better, and there are literally free classes all over the internet to help you with that. It seems like being aware of common logical fallacies helps a lot of people. You could start there. Maybe look up “how to structure an argument”. I dunno. I learned my reasoning by being a prepubescent atheist in a conservative area when nobody, at least around there, even knew not believing in God was a thing. Anyways, not trolling. You can do it. I believe in you

  • You know, looking left and right, nobody can keep their hands to themselves. We all want to conform to what’s right - but there is no objective right or wrong. It’s a function of a social animal trying to align with the group. Criticism, reactionary violence, shunning, are all natural aspects of primate social interaction - it’s part of learning, growing up, and getting along. It’s not a moral failure - no moral position has grounding beyond the neurology and evolutionary psychology of the apes we are. I’ll probably never talk to you again. I don’t care if you change. Defending these people is clearly self-defense by proxy - marginalization has always been my reality. I am no better than you, and my opinions are no more valid. But, I do see that you’re missing steps in your reasoning. You don’t need change direction. I do think you need to flesh it out more.

  • We see ourselves in other people. Part of being a social animal. Fat shaming, racism, this bipartisan shit are all results of the fact that externalizing your insecurities, shame, fear is easier than self excavation. For anyone reading this, when you feel the need to judge, dig into that feeling, whether you’re mad at immigrants or oligarchs, that same feeling is actively, surgically explored to wield power over you. To make you procrastinate. To say the good old days, the time of real change, your ideal self is just around the corner. We’re so close. Just you wait for the next election. The next scandal. The next death.
