Seconded, I’ve run the introductory module another bug hunt and loved the system and the module.

I use a tablet or two as GM my players are all paper exclusive though. I’d have no problems with people using electronics at the table though provided they were paying attention and not being disruptive.
Berttheduck@lemmy.mlto Ask UK@feddit.uk•How are you all doing with the cost of living crisis?2·7 days agoHonestly other than a little pang when interacting with my nephew’s of am I missing out, it’s mostly positive.
We have time and money to do more of the things we enjoy, not that there’s much of that even without kids when you factor in 2 full time jobs.
Berttheduck@lemmy.mlto Ask UK@feddit.uk•How are you all doing with the cost of living crisis?2·7 days agoHonestly one of the big reasons we decided to not have kids. With some budgeting we have a good quality of life as we both earn a good wage. Though we still have to be careful. Adding kids to that mix would mean we would struggle at times and have to cut back on the niceties to keep food and bills paid.
It is a depressing reality of our capitalist society.
You’re in a very sweaty situation it seems. The hope is to keep the lower temperature from overnight but if you’ve not got great ventilation that probably doesn’t do much if you can’t swap out the cooler night air. You’re probably getting the heat from the building below you coming up overnight as well.
Have you tried aiming some fans at windows on one side of the house to create more airflow?
Open all windows and as many curtains as you can manage at night with fans going. Then close everything when you get up in the morning. Definitely helps when it’s really hot. Might not get as much benefit in a flat though.
Berttheduck@lemmy.mlto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Suggestions for men to develop proper masculinity301·2 months agoThe Lord of the Rings. Aragorn is a perfect example of positive masculinity. Strong, brave, a good leader, emotionally available and connected to all his friends. Sam and Frodo are also very positive. Books and films are good. Cinema Therapy YouTube channel has a few episodes on the lord of the rings and they are all good watches. The Aragorn one covers positive masculinity I think.
You can’t take the sky from me.
Excellent theme tune.
Berttheduck@lemmy.mlto Gaming@beehaw.org•Do you also think E.Y.E: Divine Cybermancy is a masterpiece of jank?7·3 months agoI played this for a few hours on a laptop a decent number of years ago. Such a weird game. I had no idea what was going on in the story despite all the exposition. I’m pretty sure you are in a cult but could be totally wrong. There were a load of options for gear and upgrades. It was definitely interesting and had potential. I think I stopped playing and didn’t finish it because I didn’t really understand why I was doing anything and I think I struggled to recognise any of the characters between scenes, if there were any persistent characters.
Berttheduck@lemmy.mlto [Migrated, see pinned post] Casual Conversation @lemm.ee•Do you think reptile live feeding is animal abuse?English1·3 months agoYeah it’s animal abuse. In the wild the snake hunts and the prey has a chance to escape. The prey animal has 0 (or very close to 0) chance of escape in a tank with a reptile. It’s just cruel and unnecessary.
I’d draw the line for anything not an insect personally. Insects I’m pretty sure don’t have enough brain to be terrorised.
Any of the Mobas from their reputations.

Looks like Elite dangerous, I’m just trying to work out what ship you’re in?
Have you tried VR? How does it compare to the sim set up?
In summary of the nature article:
Listen and be interested in why they hold those opinions, use motivational interviewing techniques (I explain this as Inception, trying to get the patient to have the ideas) and provide solid evidence, be realistic about data and certainty, ie the MMR vaccine is safe (and doesn’t cause autism) the COVID vaccine has less data as it’s newer, but it is still safer for the vast majority of people than COVID.
