Please keep it, it can be useful to promote Lemmy a bit, like we do on [email protected]
Glad that you like it here!
Hey Cris,
Just wanted to thank you for being around. You’re always nice and chill! 😄
You can switch if you want, but it’s really okay if you stay on lemm.ee too.
If you look at active users on https://lemmy.fediverse.observer/list, Lemmy.world has 18500, while lemm.ee only has 6700, so no need to move. It’s also well managed, the admins are quite reactive and transparent: [email protected]
Good point
Reddit is inflating its numbers by a wide margin.
A sub like https://old.reddit.com/r/BuyFromEU/ has 150k subscribers, but the activity definitely doesn’t reflect that compared to [email protected] and the 9k weekly active users
Wait, aren’t community subscriptions synced with your account?
People are probably tired to push back a protocol that requires millions to open a second node https://lemmy.dbzer0.com/post/39621922?scrollToComments=true
The no app thing is a deal breaker for a lot of people
Some subjects end up needing a single community just to make it easier to find, but it’s pretty rare imo.
It’s quite common for hobbies and niche topics. There’s only one active [email protected] and [email protected]
Completely unrelated, but you finally moved to lemmy.cafe? Congrats!
Hey,
Welcome to Lemmy.
You can have a look at the list of active communities, there is a pinned post on [email protected]
https://lemmyverse.net/communities?order=active can also help with finding the most active community on a topic. You can use the house icon on the right to set your home instance (lemm.ee in your case) to be redirected to it when you click on the links.
But this is different, this allows to selectively share one post that people select, it’s not a bot reposting everything.
Because let’s be honest, most of the content here comes from Reddit.
Nice idea, thanks!
Maybe we should do that thing where we link to each other’s communities in the sidebar, like a “movie ring” or something?
That would be nice
Seems quite similar on my side, except the last two
Reminder that LW does not block Threads.net : https://lemmy.world/instances
One of them has a kid, so not too sure about that
There are no followers on Lemmy
