

I wouldn’t say so, it’s a sub culture based around music that grew out of Punk. People in that scene aren’t any better on the subject of fascism to be honest, Siouxsie Sioux wore swastika armbands and Rozz Williams owned a suspect amount of Nazi memorabilia. Not claiming that represents the music and the target audience in it’s entirety but I don’t think we should ignore the fact that it’s no more immune to bigotry than any other predominantly white and western space.
Only thing I can remember about that film is the scene where Adam Sandler beats someone up with his feet and threatens someone’s kid. Weird how the guy always tries to pass off a deeply unsympathetic character as good or someone we’re supposed to root for.
