I always appreciate a valid worry, thanks, especially one that hadn’t occurred to me. Here’s hoping the list is well-hidden and encrypted.

On a vaguely related worry, there are near-daily anti-Trump protests in any American city, and I frequently attend, but the organizers always ask for on-line RSVPs — putting everyone who replies into an easily-subpoenaed database. I never reply, and recommend simply showing up (preferably without a cell phone in your pocket).

My response is positive to all the first two ideas, but I’ve seen no need for NSFW voting.

Looks like stale communities are already closed and deleted, at least here on lemmy.world. Popped into a community I ran but set to “no new posts” a few years ago, and all the old posts are gone. Which is OK by me.

I have not yet seen names, which is peculiar. We can see a face pretty plainly, and hear a voice, but firing somebody requires a name.

But tsk tsk anything beyond carrying placards in orderly protests would simply play into the Trump regime’s plans. We must stay on the sidewalk not in the street, obey all orders from authorities, avoid profanities on our posters, never fight back, and always address police and ICE with respect.

Since it’s the worst possible thing he could do, it’s probably what Trump will do.
