Yep and if you want to get really fancy, ya can put the box on stilts and put a 5th filter on the bottom!

It is setup to pull in air through the filters into the box and push it up through the top.

I used the box from the box fan to create a bottom to make it a bit more sturdy for moving around and ensure more air flows through the filters instead of slipping in under the filters.

It also helped making the CR Box easier. I used it as a mount point for each filter.

I duct taped the filter to the bottom piece creating a sort of hinge that let the filter lay flat outward.

I then would prop up two filters creating a corner and tape them on the inside and outside.

Then I’d do the same with the two remaining filters. Then finally tape the final two corners.

The next step i do is optional, but it made taping the fan on top easier. I created a fan shield, which is like the bottom but a big hole in the middle. Tape that on top.

Finally, place the fan on top tape it and try to seal any gaps.

Oh, that’s an interesting idea, not too much different from a swamp cooler actually so ya I think it would work.

My question is, where would be the optimal spot for the ice/icepacks:

• Inside, at the bottom
• Inside, suspended in the middle
• Inside, at the top near the fan

Ya, they were brand new filters from the store. I bought them along with the box fan and duct tape.

This apartment doesnt have a HVAC system (just wall mounted AC unit) so it’s doing all the air filtration.

Funny enough I cleaned that rug after first moving in (apartment was pre-furnished) and it looked clean for a whole day.

I was a little miffed when i went to buy the goods for this box because i couldn’t get MERV 14 filters and had to settle for MERV 13.

I plan to make a frame so i can just slide filters in each side with the fan mounted on top. I’ll have to figure out a means to create a nice seal between the frame and filters so the air passes through instead of around.

As soon as I saw, “… Reading over and over…” In OPs post my mind jumped to ADHD. I, and so many others with ADHD, have to re-read a paragraph, heck sometimes a sentence before our brains wake up and realize that we should store this info in short term memory.

A therapist who specializes in ADHD in adults (it used to be believed that children diagnosed with ADHD would “grow” out of their ADHD as they got older. Thankfully this belief is rapidly changing as our understanding of ADHD gets better). They can help you start to re-work your life to be complimentary to your ADHD instead of feeling like you’re trying to cram a square peg in a round hole.

ADHD isnt the root cause for everything, but it definitely influences all aspects of your life in varying degrees.

Ya, I must have started using Linux well after Ubuntu made it really easy to install drivers.

Granted you do need to know where to find the option to install drivers, at least you used to maybe its even easier now, but I havent used Ubuntu in a few years.

Once you found where the option to install was it was a click of a button

After getting a Steam Deck my interest in the Switch 2 dropped significantly.

I love my Switch and all the great 1st party games I have for it, but I cant justify buying the Switch 2 right now.

It’s tough getting 50-85% discounted games on Steam and then go back to Nintendo and seeing games at full price years after release (I know I know “Nintendo games retain their value”).

Not only that but I need to prioritize bills and essentials over games right now. Even with games being $5-10 on Steam I decide against it since I can use that towards groceries, gas, or utilities.

I am dumbfounded by this decision. Apparently we didnt learn our lesson when Lake Erie was so polluted it CAUGHT ON FIRE!

I grew up in the Great Lakes region and they are truly marvels. You can stand on the edge of the lake and look out and the lake meets the horizon like looking out from the edge of an ocean!

The Great Lakes give the US and Canada a level of water security that alomst no other countries have. This is crucial as climate change continues to disrupt weather patterns throughout the world.

And we want to fuck it up for oil?! The god damn pil companies get so much subsides from the federal government already just build the pipe elsewhere that doesnt put our largest and possibly most important source of fresh water in danger!
