I’m right there with you. I’ve never seen anything in SC2 referred to as “period count”. My guess is that it means tick rate. So my guess is this says new storm will do damage every 0.39956 seconds down from 0.7994, and then period count maybe means it does damage 12 times instead of 6.

Yeah this is an interesting one. Storm will be more of a zoning tool and less of protosses main DPS. Players will be rewarded more for dodging them. This also means that corruptors will take less damage in lategame deathball scenarios. I have a feeling this will be changed before it goes live.
