In short, no. Linux can be adversarial, finicky, and sometimes just plain bullshit. That’s the price of device freedom though. Can’t speak for anyone else, but it does get easier the longer you stick with it though.

This was the push I needed to get off Windows completely. Some update broke Bluetooth connectivity. It’s penguins all the way down for me now.

POP_OS runs great and it’s my primary OS on my System76 machine. My issue seems to be more to do with Nvidia Drivers. Nothing that’s a deal breaker, but the Machine Spirit needs appeasement on occasion. I’m actually really excited for COSMIC to be released.

On my Asus machine, I’m just tired of Windows and want to familiarize myself with more of the Linux environment. It’s maybe 2 or 3 years old at this point

I might check out Fedora. Is switching between the iGPU and dGPU relatively straightforward?

Thanks for your thoughts. My experience with Arch has been weird. I can get everything mostly working, but sound has always been an issue on my current hardware. Black Arch was fun to mess around with because I didn’t necessarily care if sound output was borked. I will look into cachyOS and spin up a VM. Thank you friend!

From what I’ve been seeing in the Switch Hacking groups, you might be waiting a very long time. Nintendo has the kernel locked down very tight. I’m hoping that a vulnerability becomes exploitable but those that know more than I are less hopeful

I’m always super hesitant to comment on stuff like this because I don’t want to be lumped in with the fascists but I’m going to break that rule just this once. When people hear “Male Loneliness Epidemic”, it means different things to different people. It appears to me as most left leaning people hear, “I don’t have a woman that caters to me and my needs”. For myself it means, “I don’t have a Support System of friends and family to lean on.” A partner would be great but I would get far greater satisfaction in gaining a group of friends or a sense of belonging. Paired with likely Autism and ADHD, things aren’t super rad for me on any aspect of life. That’s all my own stuff to deal with though.

The takeaway is I hope anyone reading this is doing okay, regardless of gender. I may not get the struggles of your life, but I hope you are overcoming them.

It’s a good game. I think it qualifies as a cozy game but it’s a go at your own pace and enjoy the ride experience
