Ohhh I see now. This clinoptilolite stuff doesn’t rapidly dry out. It’s a clumping litter instead, like clay.

Not what I’m after, the stuff I’m using lasts a quarter year x2 bags.

Where have they marketed as a litter box product? If they have, I’m much more open to the idea. Searching “litter” on that page had no results.

Im so skeptical because I’m under the impression now that the coarse bonzai tree crush wasn’t coarse enough and hampered air flow significantly leading to urine damp zeolite that didn’t drain into the soak pad underneath the Breeze litter boxes. Or perhaps more accurately: it drains most of it, but some moisture doesn’t evaporate.

This clinoptilolite zeolite looks like an even finer crush, which makes me so doubt it’d work, but I’m just going off my previous layman experience.

In comparison, you can see how large (with a lot of room to breathe, which I’m assuming is the difference which matters, but I could be mistaken) these zeolite cat litter pellets are:

All the competing brands use a similar pellet shape. Edit: although I don’t know if that’s because it’s important or if these companies are all using the same source and just slapping their various labels on it.

Unfortunately not, the bonzai tree crush doesn’t allow for urine drainage. I tried already, doesn’t dry out. Needs to be in a pellet form.

I guess there’s not much non English internet to scrape? I’m always surprised how few social media platforms exist outside of the USA. I went looking because I was curious what discourse online would look like without any Americans talking, and the answer was basically “there aren’t any” outside of shit like 2ch.

I do, the only thing I buy off Amazon now is Zeolite mineral cat litter pellets. There’s simply no supplier in Canada, but I try sourcing from Ebay first.

It sucks this specific cat litter isn’t more popular. It’s crazy how superior to clay/paper/wood/crystal whatever. Both in annual costs and cleanliness.

I don’t think it’s meant to be useful…for us, that is. Just another tool to control and brainwash people. I already see a segment of the population trust corporate AI as an authority figure in their lives. Now imagine kids growing up with AI and never knowing a world without. People who have memories of times before the internet is a good way to relate/empathize, at least I think so.

How could it not be this way? Algorithms trained people. They’re trained to be fed info from the rich and never seek anything out on their own. I’m not really sure if the corps did it on purpose or not, at least at first. Just money pursuit until powerful realizations were made. I look at the declining quality of Google/Youtube search results. As if they’re discouraging seeking out information on your own. Subtly pushing the path of least resistance back to the algorithm or now perhaps a potentially much more sinister “AI” LLM chatbot. Or I’m fucking crazy, you tell me.

Like, we say dead internet. Except…nothing is actually stopping us from ditching corporate internet websites and just go back to smaller privately owned or donation run forums.

Big part of why I’m happy to be here on the newfangled fediverse, even if it hasn’t exploded in popularity at least it has like-minded people, or you wouldn’t be here.

Check out debate boards. Full of morons using ChatGPT to speak for them and they’ll both openly admit it and get mad at you for calling it dehumanizing and disrespectful.

Itch doesn’t appear interested in suing unfortunately. I want them to, not because I’m bloodthirsty, but to set precedent that this wreckless use of AI content moderation isn’t OK. I can imagine Disney and Nintendo following this.
