Preview is one of the things mac os got right. it’s hard to copy. If you think about it, it does not make sense that a tool called preview that most people use to quickly read pdf (and other) files, is also a lightweight pdf editor, which is often more useful than acrobat or pdfedit or whatever you use.

It’s not logical. no one will make a clone of it.

Das offensichtliche Problem mit solchen Rechnungen ist doch, dass die Einkaufskosten unabhängig von den anderen Kosten (Löhne) steigen können. Wenn der Großhändler seinen Preise erhöht, der Mindestlohn aber gleich bleibt, muss kein Gastronom das dreifach weitergeben. Auch verdient ein Kellner nicht automatisch mehr, wenn der Koch teurere Zutaten verwendet.

Honestly, i don’t know, but setting up some website that’s vaguely similar to reddit, is not that hard. (Building a community and maintaining tech and community is harder.) Thus, there are probably tons of reddit-like places, some bigger, some smaller.

Before reddit and facebook, there were forums (like bb boards). Some have survived (in niches). Some communities have huge Facebook groups, used with fake accounts for shitposting. Some people use twitter/bluesky/mastodon as a reddit substite.

I guess that Instagram and TikTok have most of the market in many countries. People won’t tell you how much time they spend on tiktok, but they still do.
