  • I actually never had one while it was “recent” (I skipped from the ds to the switch) but I’ve since bought a refurbished one and loaded custom firmware (very simple compared to other consoles) and played some of the top rated games and a few niche ones. I fell in love, and I use it for emulation of other Nintendo consoles up to N64 and all handheld consoles. I’m even working on a full living pokedex using only a 3ds and a switch, which is completely legit using Pokémon bank and Pokémon home and the virtual console, all official Nintendo software.

  • I’m in my 30’s and I think I agree with this. The amount of bangers for the 3ds is insane, and the virtual console lineups on both the 3ds and wii u were unmatched any time before or after. Even today, the 3ds is the best console to buy used and hack. You have QR-code access to ALL titles, including virtual console titles. It’s a Nintendo emulation powerhouse. Technically you can do all of that on the switch, but it’s much harder to do, much harder to get content, and not nearly as many things are compatible.

  • Hm, that could work. As it works now, my RSS app actually displays the entire post’s content in the RSS app itself, and I fear the lemmyverse redirect might give it some trouble in doing that. However, simply reading it in my RSS app, it doesn’t actually matter what source it comes from, but following it should lead me to my home instance, so I may be able to leave the .world URL in RSS if I can find a way to automatically redirect after I click to my home instance. (Or if a 2nd link was to be shown in my RSS app alongside it, which might be possible with enough duct tape)

Either way, I didn’t know about lemmyverse, and this will prove very helpful outside of this problem too, so thank you!

Edit: After realizing something like lemmyverse.link could help, I also found this project which lets me easily swap instances with a single click. This is probably as close as I’m going to get to solving the problem short of magically making the RSS feed show remote users, so this problem is effectively solved. Thanks for your help!

  • I love these regular posts you do. I’m looking for a way to have them show up in my RSS reader, but I can’t seem to find a way. There are RSS feeds per community and per user, but I just want all of the news and nothing else unrelated that happens to be posted by your account. I do want to read nearly everything posted on your account, but this would cause duplicates to show up as you post on different communities.

Is there some way you know of that I can get a de-duplicated feed of all of your news posts in an RSS/atom reader? I’m a bit new to RSS so there may be something I’m missing that’s relatively easy.
