“This ladies’ husband” is a really odd way of stating it. Who? Why not just name the person? Or does the person even matter?

Nerd, truck driver, and kinda creeped that you’re reading this.

I like my smart light system for this. It’s all local too. The bulbs are connected by Zigbee, not WiFi. It’s a different kind of radio system specifically for this. That’s controlled by the Home Assistant software on my server. I wouldn’t ever recommend those typical WiFi bulbs that you don’t really control.
I put little Zigbee buttons on each nightstand. One press toggles the lamp there, double press toggles the overhead light. Long press turns off all the lights. Or I can use my phone. The lights automatically get dimmer and more yellow across the house as it gets later in the night. I can also use Home Assistant to control the fan by my bed.
Is it necessary? No. Is it nice to have? Absolutely.

I fully believe the fascism and shit continues. I’m not sure the Greenland thing does though. It seems like a weird personal obsession.

Unfortunately I’m thinking this means they have some kind of info that a credible attack is imminent. Fuck.

Ive got a Bravia. They’re good like upper midrange TVs, like the top end before you really start spending crazy cash

Hell yeah
When I went I saw some Chinese equipment (security stuff iirc baggage X-rays or something) at the airport saying that they’re helping Cuba
Impeachment is not a thing that’s ever going to happen.

RAM is expensive, bulk storage like hard drives haven’t gone up as much. Yet.

One of the best things I host.

I buy privacy respecting smart shit
I have smart lights, but they operate off a radio (not wifi) in my house. That radio is connected to my home server, that I fully control. There’s also physical switches on the wall to control them, which IMO is absolutely mandatory.
I’m a massive nerd tho so I don’t expect the setup to be viable for most. Although I think Home Assistant are selling the servers as little ready made kits with the radio and all nowadays. But I’d still recommend some tech proficiency.
Plus my bedroom fan, my TVs, my robovac, etc all controlled locally through my server.
I fully concede it’s all unnecessary tho it’s just my hobby and there are some benefits. My lights slowly get dimmer and more yellow the later it gets. I have a little button on my nightstand that turns on/off my bedside lamp or I can double click it to toggle the overhead light. I can toggle lights from my phone without getting off the couch. It’s nice.
What spectrum is this?

Maybe you’re used to it. Putting up just my ring finger is hard and uncomfortable
If we’re gonna waste billions of dollars on military and ICE and shit imagine if we wasted all that on shit like this.
I mean, still would be better if we took care of people, but I’d take this over what we’re doing now.
Capital isn’t even particularly difficult. It’s repetitive to a fault really. He repeats the concept of the Labor Theory of Value until you’re good and damn tired of it, then it becomes a history lesson on working conditions in late 19th century Britain.
Audiobooks are great but not reading
Do you mean in the literal sense?

I mean so does Lemmy in the default interface (WebUI)

You will hurt your tendons trying, but you can.

In the web UI it should automatically start suggesting things as soon as you type @ or ! - no need to remember
Also in the Voyager client.
Opera before they moved to Chromium was cool
