No doubt there are considerations to have it happen far enough ahead of the mid-terms so they can recover if it does implicate them, but doesn’t the fact that Democrats are willing to push for releasing the document and Trump is pushing to hide them tell you a while lot about what’s really likely in there?

Except for ‘genius’. A PhD meant you will likely be extremely well ‘informed’ about a specific topic in a very narrow field. Is the gift so expensive that you feel it necessary to reclaim the money? Would it feel as though something was missing if they hadn’t got you anything? It seems like the more appropriate choice in this situation might have been to accept the gift generously and simply not used it, or not used it often and continued to use the older item. Then, if asked about it, perhaps explained it at that point instead of making a point of explaining that you wanted to return the item and get the money for it.

You have to pick a higher end phone and a lower end earbuds to get to ‘a fraction of the price’ in realistic terms. The very cheapest headphones aren’t going to sound good or last long, and are still going to be in the range of 1/5th of the price of a budget phone vs 1/16 out something that is more in line with calling something ‘a fraction of’ something.

Vance will have the position, butwon’t have that talent and by virtue of their position no other GOP personality will have the power.

Funny thing is even that number would be based on all the people who can pay 20 but not 800. If it all has to be balanced by the users it would probably be an order of magnitude… Or the market would play like it logically should and it would be like 3 companies paying a million a month. Probability manipulation seems like just being able to transfer your consciousness into whatever multiverse contains the outcome you prefer. All the other versions of you still experience all the bad outcomes, but you get to surf through your best guess at the ideal one.

Well, no one has ever said no to him and ‘really’ meant it, or could withstand the frivolous lawsuits he brought against them. All the other times didn’t really happen. One imagines anything that doesn’t match his own warped sense of reality fades very quickly in his mind. The parts of the story where he isn’t the big strong guy are quickly rewritten by the people surrounding him, and they never print out headlines or pictures to remind him about that sort of thing.

But it is, by definition, America. Really that’s the whole story, in that the world he lives in genuinely rewards greed and disgusting behavior, it’s just that most people have some sense or realization of the shame it involves to get there, and he’s just not equipped with the self reflection it takes for that shame to do anything.

When you use those statistics you should be careful to consider what the averages mean. Most people didn’t die around age 35 back in the 1700s, it’s just that childhood mortality was so high that it skews the average. ‘If’ you lived past 5 years old, you were likely to have at least a comparable lifespan to today, even if it wasn’t necessarily 70-80s.

Maybe, and it’s hard to give up something you have than it is to block something. The restriction that you have to be at least 35 is basically the exact same thing.
