I can only recommend against buying Xiaomi phones because they are shitty by design. My parents have Xiaomi phones and there are ads everywhere, including in the standard system apps.

Instead you have Xiaomi’s file manager app that not only lacks many features, but has the audacity to be infested with apps. When you start the app, you will get a full screen ad and can only continue to the proper app after a few seconds and even then there are banner ads still.

If you install apps manually from apks, some Xiaomi app scanner launches to scan the apk. I doubt the scanner is effective or does anything useful, but it’s yet another opportunity to show full screen ads.

Nah, even for contracters there are far more practical options like the Ford Transit and Mercedes Sprinter style vehicles.
