ICBM@lemmygrad.mlOPto videos@hexbear.net•Daily Show: Netanyahu has repeated the same nuclear lie for 33 yearsEnglish31·3 days agoYou’re lumping dissimilar things into the same category. I know this comes from the western media narratives, but it’s not an analysis.
So, I’ll go ahead and bite here.
No offense; waking up to the truth about what this empire is challenges a lot of things we’ve been told, but have no meaningful understanding of, especially with regard to history. The media narratives you’re implying are purposefully reductionist to keep you angry and misinformed at the enemies of the empire.
I’m sure you realize at this point that you’re being lied to by these media ghouls. It’s probably going to mean confronting some core concepts that will likely make you uncomfortable. It sucks to admit when we’re wrong, but we’re going to need a better analysis.
I totally agree that “mass murdering extremist” applies to Netanyahu, but bear in mind Israel is a US proxy state. Israel is the rabid dog the US empire has used to threaten, extort and attack its neighbors for over 50 years. In 1983, the US Secretary of State said “Israel is the largest American aircraft carrier in the world that cannot be sunk, does not carry even one American soldier, and is located in a critical region for American national security.” Israel is a regional hegemon of a larger imperialist project that has threatened the world for over a hundred years, back to around the time of the Spanish-American war, when we first see it emerge as a global hegemon. You can say Israel is genocidal and ethno-supremecist down to it’s very fiber, and that due to the 77 year apartheid colonial nature of this thing warping peoples brains into dehumanizing everyone other than themselves. Israel does nothing that is not the will of it’s imperial master. The whole point of the chaos that’s playing out, is to destabilize regional governments such that the US may carry out regime change operations, thus expanding the empire’s resources and wealth. This is called imperialism.
Modi has some commonality with Natanyahu with regard to etho-supremecy (hindu nationalism in Modi’s case). Kashmir should be considered the second largest concentration camp on earth, after Gaza. Modi is a fascist, and has a close personal, economic and defense relationship with Israel. But he shares a different geopolitical relationship int he larger picture and has different motives and goals than Netanyahu. Because America always aligns itself with fascists (essentially anti-communism), the US is trying to gain influence and use him as a battering ram against China, but Modi and the BJP are far more self-interested and do not with to be a client state; they want to be seen as an equal power to the US. I think it’s unproductive to lump Netanyahu and Modi together with such a phrase.
I probably don’t need to distinguish Trump that much, but it’s enough to say he’s a degenerate and narcissistic bourgeois demagogue. The capacity for these current events to become a mass murder are not unique or originate with him. The unfolding of these events is an almost exact replay of the second illegal US invasion of Iraq. It’s so similar it’s crazy. Check first season of Blowback for a good primer.
As it pertains to Iran, this whole thing began around 1953 when the US couped Iran. I can get into that if you’re interested. But this is a continuous policy and chain of events that really kicked off under the US Obama years, with the “Pivot To Asia”. Operation Timber-Sycamore targeted Syria and Iran, but failed to do so in the expected time. What we’re seeing now is that the US was finally able to use ISIS to overthrow Syria and, building on that momentum, have decided to attack and coup Iran again. This whole scenario is a play-by-play of the casus belli that the US manufactured for Iraq 2. If millions die, and they might, it’s not something you can exclusively blame any single US President for. Leaders tend to embody the moment, rather than act as omnipotent shapers. That’s never the case and it’s a pop-history myth. The atrocities of the US and it’s rabid dog are the nature of the machinery of this vicious military empire, and the identity politics of figureheads are there to deflect us from a deeper analysis of the system that produced these conditions.
The real misfit here is Putin, who I am not ideologically aligned with at all, but is certainly not the figure the western media portrays him to be. His reputation owes almost entirely to his prevention of the US overthrowing Assad during the regime change phase of aforementioned Operation Timer-Sycamore. Basically “fighting ISIS” was a ploy. The US and Israel were backing ISIS groups to destabilize the region and create the Syrian Civil War which, so far, has lasted 14 years, I think. Syria had a deal with Russia for air defenses (mostly to protect against Israel), this meant Russian Anti-Air and Russian fighter pilots were in Syria. The US was bombing Syria under the cover of fighting “terrorism” and Russia was part of the operation because of the defense agreement. Russia ended up preventing Assad’s overthrow, because Putin was like ‘umm, hey, wait, aren’t we just here fighting ISIS, guys?’
It blew the US State Department’s whole regime change operation, which was being run by Clinton at the time. Clinton had just murdered our boy in Libya and thrown it into chaos, and she didn’t take kindly to failing is. She famously wanted to set up a “no fly zone” in Syria to shoot down Russian jets, which would have triggered WW3. Clinton was pissed about this and has been trying to kill, smear and overthrow Putin ever since.
After that Russia became a target for regime change, but owing to… you know, that whole nuclear war thing, couldn’t attack them directly, so the US did what it has done since the end of the Viet Nam War: Use proxies instead. So the US did 2 color revolutions in Ukraine. First time was the “Orange Revolution”, which didn’t stick, then they tried again and succeeded in the 2014 Maidan Coup, by backing Ukrainian neo-nazi groups like Right Sector, Azov, OUN-B and other ultranationalists to create chaos and destabilize the Ukrainian Government. The nazi-groups were setting the city on fire and killing people in the streets, while the US state department coordinated it. They wanted Yanukovych out because he was too friendly with Russia and not willing to sell out the country to IMF loans. Well the US got it and installed a puppet regime full of the nazis that did the violence. It was a US-backed coup right on Russia’s doorstep.
Russia intervened to prevent a foreign country from taking control of Ukraine, which led to the signing of the Minsk Accords, which required Ukraine to de-nazify and prevent the state from becoming NATO proxy (which is another nazi military group). Ukraine broke all the agreements. These nazi’s, like Zionists, have a made up identity. They generally worship a nazi collaborator named Stepan Bandera. The defeat of Nazi Germany by the Soviet Union is something they’ve never stopped being mad about. They want to kill all Russians because of that. So these Ukrainian Nazi groups started a terrorist campaign on Russian speakers in the country, especially in the east. Everyone is basically Russian in Ukraine (white people draw all the maps) and these “Nationalists” were actually more or less Polish (Nazi Germany called them Galecians). The Ukrainian government ignored the violence that was being carried out by these groups. The government also banned the Russian language, which was pretty much the only thing people spoke, and mandated that only Ukrainian can be spoken. The “Ukrainian language” was very niche and mostly only known by older people in rural areas. Russian was banned from being taught in schools, banned from TV and radio, etc. They made it a crime to own any kind of Soviet stuff, which most people did because their grandparents fought in WW2 (notably AGAINST the nazis).
The Ukranazis, would go into neighborhoods in eastern Ukraine, where they and snipe people from rooftops, plant car bombs, shell hospitals and markets, raid homes, steal, harass, torture, use suicide drones on civilians. In their view they were doing this to drive out ethnic Russians. It was pretty fucked. Many of those people targeted had lived there for generations.
When Poroshenko’s term expired in 2019 people where sick of the nazis and violence in the country. Zeleneskyy actually ran on being a peace candidate who would stop the violence, so people were really excited to turn out for him. Zelenskyy won because the people wanted peace, but he couldnt really deliver because he was just a CIA puppet. He banned leftist opposition parties and took control of all the media in the country. The CIA set up bases all over the country and were busy setting up fortifications for the war that was planned, and the nazi paramilitary groups famously weren’t taking orders from the puppet regime, but from the CIA themselves.
People weren’t happy and the violence was escalating into progroms, ethnic cleansing and raids into cross border raids. Crimea held a referendum to rejoin the Russian Federation that succeeded in 2014, the DRP and LPR wanted to break away and do the same. On top of that the US and their EU client states want to shove Ukraine into NATO, so that America can place nuclear missiles right on the Russian border. Doing so was an existential threat and a breach of the agreement. Russia tried for peace multiple times and the US tore up the agreement and pushed Ukraine into war. Zelly declared martial law and locked the exit door on Ukraine. His term expired 2 years ago. He’s an unelected dictator of a police state that is feeding people into a meat grinder.
Putin is a liberal, not a fascist, communist or baby eater. He’s trying to prevent Russia from getting captured by a US regime change operation.
Hope that helps. Stay safe

ICBM@lemmygrad.mlOPto videos@hexbear.net•Vladimir Putin: Iran fulfilled the deal. The US tore it up.English4·5 days agoAt least on the surface that seems to be the case. Which doesn’t seem good. Couple points though:
Iran is a hub of a new strategic international shipping corridor with China via the new rail system. This corridor changes western hegemony on shipping lanes. China and Russia have energy deals with Iran that they are strategically interested in preserving.
Israel has no satellites for intel and targeting. The US withdrew forces in the shortly before Israels sneak attack. This entire attack was planned and coordinated with the US long before this moment, but the US claims they are “not a party”. Well, China and Russia (and other interests) can also be “not a party”.
I don’t know much. Iran does seem confident and I’m trying to look beyond my own doomerism.

ICBM@lemmygrad.mlOPto videos@hexbear.net•People have had enough of Israel's propagandaEnglish3·6 days agoIsrael does own a lot of media companies in the US. And due to the intertwined interests of the US and Israel, the media narrative across the full spectrum of US media is 100% crafted by Israel. It’s not unreasonable for someone to make that analysis, and it does not automatically make them Hitler.
I’m really tired of this hand-wringing about anti-semitism in the US. It barely exists at margins. They are not an oppressed people in the US. No one’s in danger for being Jewish in the US. That’s not a thing. Using this fabricated Zionist narrative everywhere is injuring peoples ability to identify a literal ethno-supremacist state in the middle of committing a genocide. Zionism is not Judaism. I think this person makes that distinction well enough. Contact her on social media or something and give her a better vocabulary for the topic that suits you.
I have zero sympathy for the Zionist Entity, so I’m not wasting my energy on that.
ICBM@lemmygrad.mlOPto videos@hexbear.net•People have had enough of Israel's propagandaEnglish2·6 days agoI get what your saying. I don’t believe this person is anti-semitic though. She’s not really incorrect, either. So isn’t it just nitpicking the language of someone with no marxist framework?
I’m ride or die on the full liberation and decolonization of Palestine into a single state, and that every single Zionist should face the same judgement that the Nazis got in the USSR. The entire concept of Israel should be cleansed from the land, so the culture and history the occupiers erased, can be restored.
Being called called anti-semitic by stupid Amerikkkan liberals and Zionazis is not new to me. It’s a stupid trick used to assert moral superiority, by people who have no desire to see the slaves set free.
ICBM@lemmygrad.mlOPto videos@hexbear.net•People have had enough of Israel's propagandaEnglish7·6 days agoYeah, I’ve heard some of Finklestein’s discussions on that. He’s pretty ungenerous in some of those opinions, but I’m in no position to deny their veracity.
It’s an uncomfortable fact that an abuser disguised as the abused is so much more successful at abuse than one that presents honestly. It’s got to be more than just media conditioning, maybe an instinctive desire for simple things, that plays such a part in conditioning us to think in concepts of good and evil and whoever we meet will just tell us which one they are and take that at face value. As it turns out sympathy is such an easy thing to exploit, but it’s too cynical to believe anyone would.
ICBM@lemmygrad.mlOPto videos@hexbear.net•People have had enough of Israel's propagandaEnglish5·6 days agoSure, I’m aware of and also sensitive to those tropes, too. Israel is the US’s rabid dog, but it’s also a more complicated and circular relationship than that. Israel takes orders from the CIA and State dept., but also bribes lower level politics through lobbies. Israel is a client state, but they also see themselves as superior to the US… and everyone else on earth. It’s what you get with ethno-supremacy. Israeli media shows a lot of contempt for the US and “the west”. The media is owned by the bourgeois, but the big money spigot is the black hole of US defense spending, which connects media with US DOD, CIA, FBI, all branches of the US military, MI6, Mosad, etc. All the narrative management from empire media propaganda originates from the highest level of the state, which means the freak coalition of “intelligence” groups, which does include Mosad because that’s the level of cooperation the US has with the Zionist entity.

ICBM@lemmygrad.mlOPto videos@hexbear.net•People have had enough of Israel's propagandaEnglish21·6 days agoSadly there are a bunch of libs on hexbear that still cannot separate anti-semitism from anti-zionism. Even the [person in the] video makes that clear it’s not this person’s position.
It’s really insane how embedded Mosad, AIPAC and the rest of the Isreal lobby are, and it’s not reality’s fault that Isreal has played into those tropes and hides behind them. It’s Israel’s fault for this shit, then they cry anti-semitism when you criticize them for literally any of the things they do. It’s breaking people’s brains in a way that this rabid dog state can get away with anything. Especially genocide.
I don’t know if you’re making some accusation here, but please don’t tell me that pointing out Israel’s lobby groups exist or that that Israel committing genocide is anti-semitic, that shit doesn’t work on me.
Prior to this, they were giving conscripts a total of 20 bullets for weapons training before being shoved into the meat grinder. Pretty much nothing you’re going to learn either way.
