I have never understood this attitude in the open source community. You’ll mouth off all day about how profit is bad, but so many projects can only survive with the backing of invested companies. I belittle conservatives for my own enjoyment, and to laugh at them with my peers. I gave up on changing minds when I gave up on changing my dads, and that was 15 years ago at least (was a gradual decline, not sure when I actually gave up).

Some banks, like HSBC, will allow you to hold foreign currency accounts. There are also things like Wise, but I haven’t looked much in to it.

I don’t see the point of holding EUR though as you can’t spend them here. You’d be better off investing in a currency ETF, or just international stocks/funds if your goal is to diversify from the US.
