Disadvantages of a one party dictatorship:

• no checks and balances means no bill of rights exists.
• no checks and balances also means no regulation to protect the population’s needs.
• possible human extinction in nuclear winter.

I think it’s possible for digital sales, as opposed to subscriptions, might become a viable business model.

Everything is in subscriptions because its possible to mitigate that 30% tax by doing bulk inventory magic and pooling resources. No customer would pay an extra 30% on every individual transaction when they feel that owning something digitally should be cheaper than owning it physically. Thats why Google Play Movies/books/whatever is like pretty much the only pay-for-digital license thing in the play store and all the other 3rd parties are left only giving out rental subscriptions. 30% is simply far too much to add onto every item.

“Them” refers to people, not structual issues. Structural issues dont go by “them.”

This is a message against blaming people different than yourself.

You can write comments, but you can’t make your colleagues read them. They don’t necessarily have to visit the originating file to read the docs.

Short variable names tend to lead different people to make different kinds of assumptions about the purpose and use of the variable. Those differences in understanding is where a lot of subtle bugs come from, or causes people to hit a dead end.

Just be clear and explicit. Its not gaming; you dont have to care about losing a couple extra frames to type out a few extra characters. Most IDEs have sufficient autocompletes so it’s literally not even a problem in many cases.
