Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Are data broker removal services actually legit?English

Science@mander.xyz•Climate Change Could Heat the Earth Right Into a New Ice AgeEnglish
25·1 个月前“At the end of the day, does it really matter much if the start of the next ice age is 50, 100, or 200 thousand years into the future?” Ridgwell said in a press statement. “We need to focus now on limiting ongoing warming. That the Earth will naturally cool back down is not going to happen fast enough to help us out.”
The work and context may be interesting, but this is the only paragraph you need to recognize from this article.
Have you tried ReVanced? I love having SponsorBlock, DeArrow thumbnails, and the ability to remove YT Shorts entirely from the app. The YouTube patches are amazing!

This worked pretty well for me, although constructing the cli command took a little elbow grease. This video proved to be very helpful.
Here’s the commands I ended up using:
Testing Upload Process
Before performing the actual upload, test the process with this command:
immich-go.exe -server http://[server.ip:port} -key [put your apikey here w/o brackets} upload -dry-run -google-photos takout-*.zipActual Upload
Once testing is successful, perform the full upload:
immich-go.exe -server http://[server.ip:port} -key [put your apikey here w/o brackets} upload -google-photos takout-*.zipRemove Duplicates
If you’ve previously uploaded photos before syncing your phone, remove duplicates with:
immich-go.exe -server http://[server.ip:port} -key [apikey} duplicate -yes
Best I can do is a damp cave in Glasgow, a recording of thunder sounds playing on repeat, a used paperback of “Murder on the Orient Express”, a microwaveable cup of tea, a second-hand IKEA chair, a confused pigeon that wandered in, and yesterday’s stale scones.
I use citric acid to prevent water spots in the dishwasher. Don’t bother using rinse aids, as they are often just citric acid at 2-10 times the price.

Cars - For Car Enthusiasts@lemmy.world•Working on my brothers wrxEnglish
121·6 个月前First, slow down. I’m not trying to throw stones. In a pinch, I’ve done my fair share of sketchy shit. Instead, I’m just trying to provide food for thought.
Second, I can appreciate someone sharing their cool project; however, your practices are dangerous and set a poor example for the community.

- sandals
- shorts
- no face shield
- no hearing protection
- no gloves
- improper ventilation
- etc.
That’s about 523.8 °R. I prefer 531.67 °R

Well, when the first strategy didn’t work…
