Yeah but it was priced at like ~$430. I was disappointed by that. Too expensive for me.
EDIT: I realize this was the U.S. tariffs likely having an impact. It would have been nice if The Wand Company could have let U.S. based buyers know what the intended price was prior to the tariff impact. Secondly due to the way it sold out when it initially went on sale in the U.K., having no public listing means I can’t go back and buy this without a private link that TWC is emailing. Old links don’t work in this case.
She and Boimler would have gotten along nicely.
Techmoan had a fun review of that within the past month or two.
I got the Enterprise, & the Type-2 phaser and communicator set; it didn’t hurt too much. The price on this tricorder is eye-watering. Apparently, nostalgia is expensive.
Edit: I have a cheaper, plastic version. This kit is aluminum; it’s still pricey, but seems justified.
What I actually want is a modern smart phone that’s built to look like a tricorder.
Most of it could be hollow, proving you with a cool murse/purse in the bargain! People would mock you for having a murse, but then you’d crush them by showing that it’s actually a fully functional tricorder. Only you would know its mursey secret.
And then everyone would clap.
Is murse a portmanteau of man and purse?
Yes
It disgusts me.
Or at least an attempt to add masculinity to any male carrying a satchel.
I don’t think adding a man- prefix adds masculinity though. More like signals one’s own insecurity. But I once saw man-wipes on someone’s restroom, so what do I know?
