Once upon a time two nerds I knew played Street Fighter 2 Super Turbo. One of them chose to play as Zangief, and so his opponent asked him: “If you use Zangief, why are you even playing this game?”
That somehow struck to me as a goofy but legitimate question. So, I ask you too, examples of the title.
To get us started, here is mine:
“If you advance the plot in Disco Elysium while Kim is away, why are you even playing this game?”
Super Turbo has randomized damage and stun values, unless your friend only plays the top characters why would they say that lol yeah gief has no range game and is low tier but lol
“If you don’t enjoy the core gameplay loop and think the developers are constantly making poor design decisions, why are you even playing this game?”
I do believe that your ultimate question just answered it all!

Hahaha I actually recently got told ‘If you play Just Projectiles why are you even playing this game’ for SF6 because I love JP (and Dhalsim…and Rashid…yes I have an annoying personality how did you know) & I had to hit them with ‘I’m just trying to be like Kakeru’
