That’s a great thing to do! It’s a painful task that’s got a lot of really bad thoughts about it, it’s natural to avoid it. You’ve faced it head on, you’ve not just meant to do it you’ve actually done it! You can be really damn proud of yourself ❤️
Thank you. ❤️ I am glad it’s finally behind me. Husband isn’t much of a cheerleader and was more like “thanks for doing what you’d said you’d do 2 months ago”. 😔
Trying better at building each other up was something I’d hoped raise in couple’s therapy yesterday afternoon but he started spiraling about an unrelated thing and the session went off the rails. We’re both really struggling right now with our own uncooperative brain chemistries. We’re about to go get milkshakes right now though and are trying to make today better.
Sorry kitten my comment doesn’t seem to have posted, I just noticed. Its really disappointing that your husband doesn’t recognise how hard this has been for you, it’s not been a nice task and cheerleading would have helped.
Bringing it up in therapy was a great idea, it’s a safe, managed space but then the session went off the rails. You’re both struggling which makes it hard. How have things been since?
We talked over the milkshakes and turns out once his spiralling calmed down, he felt better and was more kind. Shame he took me down with him lol, but we’re doing much better yesterday and today. Whew.
