The theory I like the best is that they used groundwater acid to smooth the stones, I’m going to post another picture of this soon along with the link to that video because if you look at the older post from yesterday with the door, the weathering of the stone is pretty rough on the outside but on the inside of the door it’s very smooth it feels almost glazed or melted by acid.
